this was easier than i thought... despite him being an older character :'D I DIDNT MAKE A LITTLE KID OMFG. he still looks a little young but i WILL figure out how to draw adults xD;; *been practicing* but im especially glad that i didnt have to reference poses/anatomy im figuring out human form better. i just need to let it "mature" a bit c: im loving drawing people more and more, and i keep getting faster and more accurate 8D i hope he came out looking okay o: hes supposed to be ATTRACTIVE. tryin to make a sexy character lol xD *goes outside of comfort zone* but if you never go outside of your comfort zone, youll never be a better artist so its okay x)

okay on to the important stuff~

Name: Tanzu! im still looking for a good family name, though. i think Toto's love of meaning and symbolism has rubbed off on me a lot so im waiting until i find one with a meaning that i think suits Tanzu >.<;;
Age: hes about 300 years old or so c: but chooses to appear young. i KNOW i had a reason he was born in the 1700s but its not in my notes D: *will have to re-find*
Gender: male. definitely male xD
Height: 5'10"/178 cm

Occupation: hes a J-POP STAR! but he doesnt write his own songs. hes a TERRIBLE writer xD he just has the voice and has the looks c: well, hes a small-time pop star for now xD he is hoping to get his big break soon!
Residence/Region: he lives in Japan xD i know its cliche, but i want an OC related to my heritage and my heritage is sadly a cliche D: as for where he lives, he likes to hangout at Kouki's place a lot xD he has an apartment, but its largely abandoned.

Species: nekomata c:
Ability(s): Tanzu is a master of illusions and can easily trick people into seeing things that arent really there. he can also invade the dreams of a person and manipulate the dreams 8D he likes to collect lost souls, which he carries around in his chochinobake named Han ((the lantern with the face)) and he can command them, but their powers are weak and limited to some fire magic. sometimes he lets them float around him and follow him places. as a nekomata, he has knowledge of necromancy, but hes totally never used it

Personality: Tanzu is a fun-loving personality who is extremely carefree. he lacks much of a work ethic and would rather party or explore his surroundings instead of doing chores, having responsibility or having a REAL job. he believes he can do whatever he wants, whenever he feels like it in order to live life to the fullest. a personal quote of his is "life is too short to clean up the messes of others", which most people interpret as just living life without worry but to him, it actually has much darker connotations that are deeply rooted in his past. but mostly, he is very playful and talkative. he acts like he never listens to anyone but in fact, he is highly observant and perceptive. he just prefers to act stupid and lazy ((if he acted as smart as he is, then people might expect things from him or something!)). Tanzu has a very catlike fascination with weird objects, like yarn, shiny objects and even really tall stalks of grass. he also likes to collect "oddities" such as mummified two-headed animals, corpolites, giant gallstones, pickled fetuses and deep sea fish... just to name a few ((and of course, he always has an incredible urge to share them all with Kouki xD)). his social life is a mess... but he doesnt see it that way 8O hes a swinger and likes to hit on any kind of hot human girl he can find. he might only hang out with her for a single night before getting bored and/or getting distracted by another one, only to forget most/all about the previous one. despite being a complete womanizer, he rarely ever uses his powers of illusion on them. on some level, he despises being a nekomata, and despises being a Mythos at all. he wishes he were born a human so he could experience their "brief but meaningless life". Tanzu seems to have quite an interest in the balance of life and death because it can be such a confusing thing when thought about too long. he wonders where the line is drawn between life and death. when is someone really dead and when does someone really become alive? are the souls who follow him around considered as "life"? is Han considered as "life"? he doesnt know, but wishes he did. Tanzu also has a slight obsession with having "minions" to follow him. the more "minions" he has, the happier he is. "minions" could include his adoring fans, his lost souls, or even his friends. but sometimes his "minions" are just a harmless part of his imagination, like when he tries to control his ant colony that he keeps at Kouki's house c: Tanzu is also the proud owner of lots of pairs of CLOTHES which he usually leaves lying around Kouki's place in random locations. hes a pop star so hes got a wide range of pop star-ish stuff, but he tends to prefer wearing black as oppose to colors. Tanzu lacks appreciation for anything traditional and tends to prefer modern music and clothing, though he will wear a traditional outfit while in his fated form:

History/Description: Tanzu's actual origins are largely unknown to anyone besides himself. as a nekomata, he is a shapeshifter and has disappeared from the record numerous times over the past 300 years. he comes and goes from working for the Chancel as he pleases but where he disappears to in-between times of service is not known ((hes a cat and this is such a cat thing to do xD)). because of the very nature of nekomatas, it is difficult to trace lineage so there is not much information on who his family members really are, but he doesnt seem to care much anyway. he seems to have no sense of family values and has a hard time understanding Kouki's loyalty to his family. "if your father doesnt like you, then ignore it!"
Tanzu carries around a chochinobake named Han, who is a tsukumogami that had come to life after existing for 100 years. Tanzu recently helped Han become a living thing and now keeps Han as a minion and a holding place for lost souls. Han has only just started learning about the world and would like to know more, but Tanzu always lies to him. then when Han finds out he had been lied to, he has fits of rage 8D but he has no choice but to trust his master... the one who allowed him to become alive.
Tanzu carries around with him a set of US military dogtags that seem to have significant importance to him, but he doesnt mention why or how he acquired them.
there was a time where Tanzu had a more practical and level-headed personality and was completely different from his current self, but then something changed him and he could never see the world quite the same again. before Tanzu was partnered with Kouki, he was last seen in the 1930s and Mythos who remember him claim that his current personality is "unrecognizable" compared to his old self. Tanzu was once a well-respected Whisper but now most Mythos find him hard to deal with and a bit of an embarrassment to Mythos everywhere.
