"The more things change, the more things stay the same..."

i was originally gonna just leave this as a sketch but i had to play with it more xD so heres a reference of Matthew and Kaejung when they were kids 8V Matthew is 10 here and Kaejung is 9, which is the age they first met and created the "promise". they are very different people... but in some way, they are the only ones in the world who can truly understand each other, even though they hail from two countries that despise one another. after being separated for 18 years, will they continue to uphold their promise to each other that they made when they were children?

gah, im seriously becoming obsessed with these two xD their story has reached an amazing point of development i havent had since creating Toto, but theyre also the first characters i put through the same character development strategy as i did with Toto xD i guess this is how i should develop my characters lol! though i do have one really big concern about their story... and thats... if its gonna be better than Toto's story x.x i think theres actually a pretty good chance of this xD;; despite these two being NPCs. though they may not be comparable stories as they have two very different meanings behind them and serve different purposes. ive REALLY boosted the Matthew/Kaejung story in like... just the past 24 hours xD;; its like the phase where i learn what theyre really all about... and i got it o: i guess i drew this as part of me having a "Eureka moment" about them xD

AND THIS SONG [link] IVE LISTENED TO IT FOR THE LAST THREE DAYS OR MORE LOL. it keeps making me think of my Nexus characters xD different lines match different characters and the song doesnt fit one specifically... but i keep imagining it to some kind of AMV with all my characters' darker/violent scenes xD I CANT GET ENOUGH OF THAT SONG LOL.

and i kinda think playing the Graces childhood arc was so appealing to me because hey... these two chars start their plot in their childhood, too!! xD it really made me think of them V: Matthew was always taller than Kaejung, and Kaejung will always be the shorter one xD when Matthew was a kid, he was a bit unusually tall for his age, and full grown, he would be almost six feet. Kaejung will stay a good five or six inches behind xD;;
